Emsculpt Neo can treat a wide range of body areas including the abdomen, buttocks, front and back of the thighs, inner and outer thighs, biceps, triceps, calves, and the flanks (love handles). During your consultation, we will assess which areas would benefit most and create a personalised treatment plan.

The recommended treatment protocol is a course of 4 sessions, spaced 5 to 10 days apart. Most patients begin to see visible improvements 2 to 4 weeks after their final session, with results continuing to improve over the following 3 months as the body naturally eliminates damaged fat cells and muscle fibres continue to strengthen. Maintenance sessions can be arranged to sustain your results long-term.

Most patients describe the sensation as an intense but tolerable muscle workout combined with a warming feeling from the RF component. The intensity is gradually increased during the session, and your practitioner will adjust it to your comfort level throughout. A therapy discomfort button is always within reach should you need the treatment paused at any point. Some mild muscle soreness — similar to post-exercise aches — may be felt for a day or two after the session.

There is no downtime whatsoever. You can return to your normal activities, including exercise, immediately after your session. Some patients experience mild muscle soreness or temporary redness in the treated area, both of which resolve quickly on their own.

Emsculpt Neo is suitable for most adults looking to reduce fat and build muscle in targeted areas. It works well for individuals who are relatively active but have stubborn areas that resist diet and exercise, as well as those looking to enhance their overall body tone and definition. It is not a weight-loss treatment and works best on patients with a BMI up to 35.

The treatment is not suitable for patients with electronic implants (such as pacemakers or defibrillators), metal implants in the treatment area, or those who are pregnant or nursing. A full suitability assessment is carried out during your consultation.

Visible fat reduction and muscle definition typically become apparent 2 to 4 weeks after completing the full course, with results continuing to improve for up to 3 months as your body processes the eliminated fat cells.

The fat cells destroyed during treatment are permanently eliminated and do not regenerate. However, remaining fat cells can still expand with significant weight gain. The muscle gains are similar to those achieved through exercise — they will be maintained with an active lifestyle and can be enhanced with periodic maintenance sessions. We typically recommend a top-up session every 3 to 6 months to sustain optimal results.
